Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op checks and set up machines for daily production.
• Conduct minor troubleshooting to keep machines running.
• Promptly report major issues observed with the machinery.
• Ensure correct packaging and traceability coding are used and follow Daily Production Schedule.
• Handle machines with care and keep them running efficiently.
• Perform general housekeeping in the work area at shift end.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Take on other duties as assigned by the Production Manager/Coordinator.

OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our food production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining food processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The incumbent shall be mainly responsible for machine set-up, calibration, pre-op checks and troubleshooting for daily production runs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience & Skills:
• 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse or Production environment
• Food industry experience an asset
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• A high degree of flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively/ability to stand for long periods of time during the workday

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform pre-op checks and set up machines for daily production
