Job Title: Mechanic – CNC, Panel Cutting & Edgebanding Machines

Location: Attleboro, MA

Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary with Potential for Permanent Placement

Pay: Starting at $16/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machines, panel cutting equipment, and edgebanding machines to ensure optimal operation.
2. Diagnose Issues: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in production machinery, identifying causes of malfunctions and proposing efficient solutions.
3. Repair or Replace Components: Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and electrical systems to keep equipment running smoothly.
4. Keep Maintenance Logs: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repairs, including detailed notes on parts used and actions taken.
5. Assist with Setup and Calibration: Help with machine setup and calibration to ensure proper function and precision before production runs.
6. Respond to Breakdowns: Quickly address and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain workflow.
7. Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory, ordering replacements as needed and keeping stock organized.
8. Collaborate with Production Team: Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance during non-disruptive times, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal interruption.
9. Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of tools and equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Prior experience working with CNC machines, panel cutting machines, and edgebanding equipment is highly preferred.
2. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
3. Tool Proficiency: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
4. Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision, ensuring that machines are operating at optimal efficiency.
5. Physical Capability: Able to lift and move equipment parts, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
6. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and resolve mechanical challenges efficiently.
