Job summary

Simmons Pet Food is seeking a Line Unloader in a manufacturing setting. The role requires verifying machine setup, unloading baskets, and inspecting finished product for quality, codes, and defects. You will sample for lab and coordinate with operators to maintain smooth line flow.

Responsibilities include sanitation, paperwork, and teamwork, with emphasis on GMP adherence and clear communication in English. Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/process environment.
• Understanding of GMPs and safety practices.
• Ability to read instructions and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Verifies proper machine setup and reviews production schedule.
• Unloads finished retort/packing baskets and ensures cycle flow.
• Inspects finished product for image, odor, color, and defects.
• Pulls samples for lab, checks codes, and flags holds.
• Monitors for damaged or illegible codes and removes defects.
• Communicates with operators and supervisors; ensures baskets cycle.
• Checks suction cups, performs weekly sanitation, completes paperwork.
• Fosters teamwork and participates in ongoing development.
