Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Utility Operator to support the Production or Packaging portion of the Pet Food business. You will fill in for breaks, operate essential equipment, record downtime and quality data, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to established operating systems, and proactive participation in continuous improvement. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet English literacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Background in manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to operate and maintain production equipment.
• Adherence to safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fills in for breaks and absences to maintain plant operations.
• Fully operates all necessary equipment in the assigned area.
• Record downtime, can loss, lot numbers, temperatures and other reports.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned to standard; perform weekly sanitation.
• Participate in team development, communication, and implementation of team concepts and policies.
