Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Line Unloader worker to support the packing area by verifying machine setup and reviewing production schedules. You will unload retort baskets, inspect finished product for quality, and pull samples for testing.

Responsibilities include identifying defects, handling change-overs, and communicating with operators and supervisors to maintain smooth basket flow and packaging throughput.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Verifies machine setup and reviews production schedule.
• Brings a full retort basket into the Unloader for unloading.
• Views finished product for image, odor, color, chunks and sticking to the can; pulls samples for lab.
• Identifies hold tags and change-overs.
• Monitors for dents/leaks and removes defective products; checks codes.
• Communicates with Retort Operator, Tray Packers and supervisors; ensures baskets cycle.
