Job summary

Pennsylvania Ag Connection is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair production equipment in a fast-paced facility. The role covers mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues, with emphasis on minimizing downtime and sustaining line performance.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, assist with line changeovers, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to food safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair saws, slicers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, scales, labelers, printers, and metal detectors.
• Perform intermediate-level electrical work involving motors, sensors, switches, and control wiring.
• Conduct equipment alignments, adjustments, and rebuilds as needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Documentation & Continuous Improvement: complete and maintain work orders, PM checklists, and parts usage records within the CMMS system.
