Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to repair and install production equipment, inspect performance, and perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, using own hand tools, and working near heat, noise, gases, and chemicals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position requires reading mechanical drawings, performing breakdown analysis, and upgrading lines with new technology.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas.
• Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns).
• Experience with conveyors/airveyors and with compressors/ammonia systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Repair all production equipment as needed.
• Perform breakdown analysis.
• Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology.
• Work with outside contractors on assigned line.
• Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards.
• Work independently under limited supervision and document work schedule and tasks completed.
