Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to repair and install production equipment, inspect for proper function, and perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs. You must have your own hand tools and be prepared for heat, noise, and chemicals in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings and manuals, troubleshooting breakdowns, and coordinating with contractors while maintaining safety and GMP standards. Weekend/holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
• Experience with mechanical systems (gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to repairs)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Repair production equipment as needed
• Perform breakdown analysis
• Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology
• Work with outside contractors on assigned line
• Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
• Documentation of work schedule and tasks completed
