Job Description

The Production Line Maintainer reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining a production line or designated area. Duties include performing quality checks, making mechanical adjustments, and ensuring mechanical performance of automated production machines that produce high‑quality steel cans. The position follows a rotating schedule of 4 days on / 4 days off, with hours 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is $29.83 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safety‑first attitude in a team environment
• Ensure mechanical performance of automated production machines
• Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and changes to equipment and machines
• Direct and assist in equipment set‑up and changeovers
• Daily use of micrometer, dial indicators, and other precision measuring equipment to make educated decisions in machine operation
• Use SPC and process control to maintain production of quality products at all times
• Relieve slitter for breaks (3 piece)
• Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Manufacturing experience
• Ability to work alternate schedules including overtime, voluntary and mandatory, based on business needs

Preferred Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Previous industrial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of OSHA training in a manufacturing environment
• 6S training

Physical Requirements

• Use of hands, reach, and arms; ability to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hour shifts

Working Conditions

• Plant environment with exposure to light lifting and warehouse forklift traffic
