Job summary

ModusLink is seeking a Line Leader to supervise and guide assembly operators, ensuring adherence to standard work and safety guidelines while driving productivity and quality. You will organize production lines, coach staff, and monitor KPI boards to sustain daily targets and continuous improvement.

The role requires basic PC skills, good communication, and the ability to read and analyze data, with a focus on teamwork and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent education and 1–2-year experience preferred.
• Communication and math skills.
• Ability to read and analyze data.
• Quality conscious attitude with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and mentor assembly operators to follow standard work and meet productivity targets.
• Maintain quality standards, identify issues, and support corrective actions.
• Assess production line status, staffing, bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
• Assemble and/or package components per client specifications.
• May use hand tools and measuring devices.
• Update KPI boards and hour-by-hour production boards to track performance.
• Monitor line in real time, explain variances, escalate issues, and support root-cause analysis.
• Manage component traceability, reject downtime, and maintain audit-ready records.
• Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, and 5S in parts storage and workplaces.
• Perform other departmental duties as required.
