Job summary

Ditsch USA is hiring a 1st Shift Line Lead at our Cincinnati, OH facility. This hands-on leadership role focuses on keeping production moving, coaching a team, and solving problems on the floor.

You’ll oversee safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting continuous improvement and team development in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience, preferably in food production.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, teamwork, math, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support production employees during the shift.
• Keep production moving safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
• Monitor workflow, staffing needs, changeovers, and shift transitions.
• Reinforce food safety, sanitation, GMP, and workplace safety expectations.
• Help troubleshoot production issues and communicate updates to supervisors.

Job Opportunity: 1st Shift - Production Line Lead with Ditsch USA in Cincinnati, OH

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Thursday, Fridays as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Line Lead, you will support employees on the production floor, keep workflow on track, and help ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met each shift.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable leading a team in a manufacturing environment. Food production experience is helpful, but strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are most important.

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food production.
• Previous lead, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, teamwork, basic math, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read production documents, follow specifications, and work overtime or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures, equipment, noise, and required safety gear.
