Job summary

US-Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Chicopee seeks a Production Manager to oversee all production processes and lead a team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. The role focuses on improving operations, planning schedules, and coordinating with engineering, maintenance and quality teams.

You will drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methods, ensure OSHA and ISO compliance, and recruit and develop staff while maintaining a strong safety culture in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing management.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to meet targets.
• Experience developing production schedules and optimizing resources.
• Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methods experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA and Quality Management systems (IATF, ISO).
• Automotive Tier 1 experience highly desired and union plant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Chicopee location production to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Plan and prioritize production, monitor data, and advise schedules.
• Ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, maintenance and quality teams.
• Develop strategies to correct operational issues and improve throughput.
• Recruit, hire, train staff and provide performance evaluations.
• Establish daily/weekly/monthly schedules and monitor progress.
• Foster continuous improvement and develop future leaders.
