Job summary

Texas Hydraulics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Welding & Assembly Production Lead in Temple, TX.

The role coordinates welding through final assembly, directs day-to-day work on the line, and supports weld quality while training welders and maintaining material/work-order records. You will assign work, perform welding, train staff on procedures, review welds for conformance, manage inventory in ERP, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and at least two years of welding or assembly experience.
Ability to demonstrate welding proficiency via a pre-employment weld test.
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Ability to train and communicate with employees at different skill levels.
Basic computer skills for ERP transactions and training records.
Must obtain AWS D1.1 certification within 12 months; technical schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

Assign and coordinate work across welding, robotic welding, and assembly to meet schedules.
Perform manual welding and support robotic welding operations, plus first-piece checks.
Train and coach employees on welding processes, quality, and safety.
Evaluate welding skills and document training results; prep for AWS testing.
Review welds for conformance and address issues with Quality/Welding Eng.
Monitor materials and welding supplies and initiate replenishment.
Complete inventory counts and record usage, work orders, scrap/returns in ERP.
Identify production or equipment issues and coordinate improvements.
