Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of welding/assembly experience.
• Ability to demonstrate welding proficiency via pre-employment weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ability to train and communicate with employees at different skill levels.
• Basic computer skills for ERP transactions and training records.
• AWS D1.1 certification within 12 months of hire; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work across welding, robotic welding, and assembly to meet production schedules.
• Perform manual welding and support robotic welding operations.
• Train and coach employees on welding processes and safety.
• Evaluate welding skills and document training results.
• Review welds for conformance and address issues with QA.
• Monitor materials and supplies; manage ERP records.
• Identify production or equipment issues and suggest improvements.
• Lead without direct supervisory authority; guide day-to-day work.
