Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Romeoville, IL plant to lead a manufacturing team toward injury-free production while meeting safety, quality and productivity goals. You will hire, coach, and schedule staff; implement lean processes; work with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to improve operations and control costs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Vocational or Technical Degree in production, process control, or similar preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in production with emphasis on process control in a similar industry preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/distribution organizations preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe workplace with a safety mindset.
• Hires, schedules, and supervises full-time staff and temporary staff.
• Provides coaching and timely feedback; administers disciplinary processes as necessary.
• Performs quarterly and annual reviews for all team members.
• Facilitate team development, problem-solving and growth.
• Oversees process documentation and training for consistency and safety.
• Ensures quality products and adherence to quality processes.
• Works with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve quality and efficiency.
• Tracks productivity and operates within budget using lean manufacturing principles.
• Oversees inventory control procedures and accuracy.
