Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in New Orleans seeks a Production Lead to oversee day-to-day store operation and drive production performance to meet budget while adhering to company standards, policies and procedures.

The role acts as supervisor when assigned and may serve in a supervisory capacity during scheduled hours, requiring hands-on leadership, teamwork, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed. Strong communication, safety awareness, and ability to motivate diverse staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Retail training must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving/exceeding production goals monthly and annually and implement contingency plans if needed.
• Interact professionally with a diverse array of people.
• Market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Maintain effective working relationships and motivate store and production staff.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Perform repetitive hand movements when buttoning, sorting, hanging and zipping garments.
• Stand/walk/bend/stoop/stretch for prolonged periods.
• Perform duties of Production Associates as required.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Toassistwiththeday-to-daystoreoperationandproductionperformancetomeetorexceed budgetwhileincompliancewithcompanystandards,policiesandprocedures.AProduction LeadperformsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorProduction Manager.ProductionLeadsmayactinasupervisorycapacityduringscheduledworkhours.

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwithaminimumqualitystandardof90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProductionAssociates.
• 8. Tobeableto perform the jobduties oftheProductionAssociates.

Requirements:

• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
