Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist supervisors in the operations of shift production.
• Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train production employees in care and safe operation of equipment.
• Review records to ensure proper use of time and materials; perform quality checks.
• Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promote interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
• Operate facility metal detectors and remain certified.
• Maintain a safe working environment through policy enforcement and safety meetings.
• May cover for absent personnel as needed.
• Plan and adjust work assignments to cover production phases.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Ensure compliance with company rules and policies (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sox).
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
