Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Production Lead to supervise a team on relay and control panel manufacturing. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee daily work, ensure quality, and coordinate tasks on a Monday–Friday shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least four years in manufacturing, proven team leadership, strong analytical and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or related field.
• Prior experience in effectively leading a team of employees.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
• Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
• Basic understanding of tools (e.g. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of assigned team employees.
• Address minor discipline problems with team members; refer more serious cases to the supervisor.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of training and orientation for new team members.
• Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegate assignments based on team members' skills and experience.
• Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
• Inspect work performed by team members.
• Track and logs workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.
• Partner with supervisor or production manager to resolve any issues that arise within department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete assemblies and sub-assemblies for manufacturing projects, as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
