Job description

The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating daily operations, providing on-the-floor leadership, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the production floor in a multi-temperature environment. This role supports training, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement, while upholding company values and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day workflow, training, and troubleshooting in a multi-temperature environment (including areas at or below freezing)
  • Use WMS or other systems/reports to track and review productivity to ensure goals and outputs are met accurately and efficiently
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to associates in one-on-one and group settings
  • Conduct department start-up meetings as needed
  • Assist in updating and documenting process changes and training plans
  • Promote team retention through respectful communication, motivation, and timely problem resolution
  • Work on the production floor in a manual labor role during non-peak times as needed
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and SQF (Safe Quality Foods) requirements
  • Perform other duties and assist other departments as assigned
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance

Skills:

  • Ability to read and follow labels, processes, and written instructions
  • Basic math skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb as required

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience communicating effectively with peers, management, and associates
  • WMS and SAP knowledge preferred
