Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a Production Lead I to supervise line operations, coordinate setup, and drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor in Romeoville, IL. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and precise record-keeping to ensure product quality and schedule adherence.

The position requires strong communication, basic math, and the ability to work 95% on the production floor with flexible hours. A high school diploma or GED and manufacturing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience and leadership skills preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally and work overtime.
• Excellent English reading/writing and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-op and tear down for assigned shift and coordinate lines setup.
• Review production issues, schedules, and specifications; communicate with other departments to prevent downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement plant-wide efforts and assign personnel to work stations.
• Provide associate training and direction; document records including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, and production data.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and safety instructions; cross-train across lead areas over time.
