Job summary

Kemin is seeking a Production Supervisor in Des Moines, IA. You will lead a diverse 12-hour shift team, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure smooth plant operations in a dynamic production environment. The role emphasizes ERP usage, safety, and continuous improvement to meet daily production goals.

You will mentor staff, maintain quality and sanitation standards, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow. A strong background in production and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience or an Associate/Bachelor's with 2+ years in production.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Strong understanding of equipment and production processes.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production requirements are met and motivate direct reports to goals.
• Mentor production staff under supervision of Plant Manager.
• Ensure staff are trained on equipment and SOPs.
• Maintain sufficient raw materials and supplies for shifts.
• Identify and solve issues without production disruption.
• Oversee equipment operation and follow up on work orders.
• Review batch records and correct errors.
• Provide production performance data and respond to inquiries.
• Adhere to Master Sanitation Schedule and GMP practices.
• Maintain safety and quality per organizational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement with team feedback.
• Communicate needs across departments and business units.
• Ensure products meet production standards and regulatory requirements.
