Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Production Supervisor on the 2nd shift in Des Moines, IA to lead a team of hourly workers and coordinate daily production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with Engineering, Materials, Quality, and HR to optimize schedules, monitor safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement through Lean practices and ERP/WMS systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
6+ years of relevant production leadership experience.
Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience.
Proficiency with ERP/WMS and MS Office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise hourly employees and coordinate shift operations.
Prepare daily time sheets, production summaries, overtime, and downtime reports.
Plan work assignments to maximize manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
Collaborate with Engineering on new methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
Coordinate with Material Control on production schedules and parts requirements; provide status updates.
Coordinate with Quality Control on quality standards and interpretations.
Communicate changes or conditions affecting production to management.
Work with Human Resources on employee/labor relations matters.
Ensure compliance with plant rules, policies, safety standards and housekeeping.
