Job summary

Livestock Nutrition Center in Texas is seeking a Production Laborer to join our mill operations. You will help keep the mill clean, support routine maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure smooth production.

Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand 10 hours, and operate basic equipment. Weather exposure, safety focus, and teamwork are essential. Some weekends in winter may be required; FSMA familiarity is a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Ability to walk and stand for 10 hours per day.
  • Able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Forklift, skid steer, and front-end loader experience preferred.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain safe working environment per OSHA standards.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a team.
  • Some weekends required in winter months.
  • Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the mill clean including grounds.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Assist in repair and maintenance with staff and contractors.
  • Support efficiency improvements for the mill and crew.
  • Maintain inventory of macro and micro ingredients.
  • Ensure ingredients meet LNC quality standards.
  • Safely operate equipment following training.
  • Adhere to safety practices and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other related operational tasks as needed by management.

Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.Mission StatementOur Mission is to add value to the suppliers and end users in the feed ingredient supply chain through distribution, processing and service.Guiding PrincipleOur focus is to provide customized feeding programs, nutritional products, and expert service to livestock producers that promote their long-term success and profitability.Position SummaryLivestock Nutrition Center, a leading regional feed manufacturing company, is looking for motivated Production Laborers to join our team. We are currently hiring mill production operators, including light equipment operators, who can work with a flexible schedule.Responsibilities & DutiesEnsure the mill is kept clean, including the grounds surrounding the mill.Ensure daily, weekly, monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks are completed.Assist in repair and maintenance projects with the maintenance staff and contractors, as well as fulfill Project Manager requests.Assist in maximizing efficiency of the mill and crew.Maintain inventory of macro and micro ingredients.Ensure quality of ingredients are of LNC standards.Safely and efficiently operate equipment, following proper training of all equipment.Ensure company safety practices are followed, along with OSHA standards.Perform any other related operational processes and tasks deemed necessary by local management.Qualifications & SkillsAbility to walk and stand for 10hours/day.Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs.Forklift, Skid Steer, Front end loader experience preferred.Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, extreme heat or cold.Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.Maintain safe working environment.Attention to detail.Ability to work in a team setting.Some weekends required in winter months.Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production preferred.Benefits and PerksAll full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
