Role Overview

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity! While we may not always have open positions available, we are always looking to connect with talented professionals for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift Production Lab Technician roles. Each position supports our team in overseeing production operations, including assembly, processing, and packaging at our lab in Windsor, WI. As part of our commitment to cell sexing technology, the role ensures that production equipment is operated efficiently, adhering to safety and quality standards.

You Will
  • Follow SOP and maintain lab documentation, providing accurate, timely and quality packaging of bovine semen in accordance with ABS standards.
  • Learn other ancillary processes throughout the production lab as business needs necessitate.
  • Adhere to proper cleaning, sanitation and sterilization protocols for all processing and collection equipment.
  • Provide ideas for improvement in the work environment.
  • Communicate issues to appropriate personnel (leads, supervisors, manager, support group).
  • Perform all assigned duties based on daily production needs.
  • Follow safe work procedures and report any incidences.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Prior experience in a production laboratory environment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift/transfer 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on always maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and mouse to accomplish work tasks (includes but is not limited to the ability to look at computer monitor screens for the entirety of assigned shift).
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Working Conditions:

  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Monitor equipment and computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Exposure to chemicals occasionally (PPE is provided).
Shifts and Pay
  • 1st Shift: 6:00a - 2:30p $21.00/hr.
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00p - 10:30p $23.00/hr.
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00p - 6:30a $24.00/hr.
