Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic circuits and devices. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and laboratory best practices. The technician will also assist in product development, prototyping, and documentation to support engineering and research teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCBs, and prototype devices.
- Perform diagnostic tests and failure analysis on electronic components and systems.
- Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Solder and desolder components, including surface mount and through-hole components.
- Support engineers in the design, development, and improvement of electronic systems.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Use a dynamometer for motor testing.
- Document test results, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lab protocols.
- Assist in inventory management of electronic components and lab supplies.
Qualifications & Skills

- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an electronics lab or related environment preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, datasheets, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and soldering techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded systems, or programming is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC automation and ladder logic programming is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
