Job summary

Vertiv in Ironton, Ohio is seeking a Planner to optimize production, inventory, and efficiency through stable run strategies and strong organization. You will coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and material teams to align schedules and ensure materials and shop orders are properly managed in the ERP system.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in warehousing or inventory movement, a High School or GED, and experience with MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience in warehousing or inventory movement.
• Minimum of 3 years in stockroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a stable run strategy for assigned products to optimize production, inventory and efficiency.
• Communicate daily/weekly plan with the production team.
• Ensure change over times, standard hours, rates and capacity are reflected in plans.
• Interface with Engineering to establish high level forecast/schedule.
• Ensure materials for production are ordered and available, either internally or via suppliers.
• Create shop orders in the ERP (IFS) to fulfill production needs.
• Issue material upon completion of process and close out shop orders after operations.
• Coordinate with purchasing and material teams on needs and shortages.
• Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports as needed.
• Apply 5S techniques to workspace and inventory storage.
