Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Planner in Ironton, Ohio to organize and optimize production plans and inventory. The role requires coordinating with engineering, purchasing, and material teams to ensure timely availability of parts and efficient shop-floor execution.

Qualifications

• High School or GED
• 3-5 years of experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a stockroom, warehousing, or inventory movement

Responsibilities

• Develop a stable run strategy for assigned products to optimize production and inventory
• Communicate daily/weekly plans with the production team
• Ensure changeover times, standard hours, rates and capacity are reflected in plans
• Interface with Engineering to establish forecasts and schedules
• Ensure parts for production are ordered internally or via suppliers
• Confirm material availability and reporting accuracy in the system
• Create shop orders on IFS to fulfill production needs
• Issue materials upon process completion
• Close shop orders and report operations for completed jobs
• Coordinate with department leaders on material shortages/needs
• Coordinate with purchasing on external orders
• Coordinate with material team on material requirements and deliveries
• Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Apply 5S techniques to workspace and inventory
• Maintain knowledge of products and parts
• Other duties as assigned
