Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Production Inspector for the Agawam facility. You will work with customers to translate needs into specifications, inspect products, and ensure correct re-packaging and shipping.

Daily decisions rely on training and experience to support front-end and back-end processing. Responsibilities include product inspection, process sequencing, continuous improvement, and cross-training across production areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word and basic internet tools.
• Knowledge of industrial cutting tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and co-workers in a 'customer-friendly' manner
• Receive and inspect customer product for processing
• Establish product process sequence
• Inspect finished product
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments
• Act as member of the monthly 'Quality Council'
• Open to cross-trained/other areas of production
