Job summary

Crystal D, located in Saint Paul, MN, seeks a Production Graphic Artist to transform customer artwork into production-ready designs on-site. You will collaborate with Art, Customer Service, Sales, and Production to ensure every piece delivers the WOW Effect.

The role requires an associate degree in graphic design or 2–3 years of hands-on experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Studio Max, and RIP software. On-site at our St. Paul location.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Graphic Design or 2–3 years hands-on experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design and production artwork.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with 3D Studio Max, RIP software, or similar tools.
• At least 1 year operating printers, engravers, or similar equipment.
• Understanding of print production, file prep, and artwork specs.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

In this role, you'll combine your creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail to transform customer artwork into high-quality, production-ready designs. You'll work closely with our Art, Customer Service, Sales, and Production teams to ensure every piece we create delivers the WOW Effect our customers expect.
**Please note this position is not remote and requires to be on-site at our St. Paul location**

What You'll Do

Bring Artwork to Life

• Create, modify, and prepare customer artwork for proofing and production using Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Studio Max, and other design tools.

• Produce accurate, production-ready files, films, and prints that meet customer expectations and production specifications.

• Operate printers, lasers, engravers, and other production equipment to bring designs to life.

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality while meeting daily production deadlines.

Collaborate & Problem-Solve

• Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and Production to ensure artwork meets customer needs and production requirements.

• Provide creative solutions and recommendations when artwork needs adjustments.

• Troubleshoot artwork and production challenges while keeping projects moving forward.

• Communicate clearly and proactively to help deliver an Incredible Customer Experience.

• Support fellow Memory Makers to ensure department goals and deadlines are met.

• Share ideas, knowledge, and best practices to strengthen our processes and teamwork.

• Take ownership of your work while remaining flexible and willing to jump in where needed.

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in Graphic Design or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or 2–3 years of equivalent hands-on experience and training.

• Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design and production artwork skills.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Experience with 3D Studio Max, RIP software, or similar production tools.

• At least 1 year of experience operating printers, engravers, or similar production equipment.

• Understanding of print production, file preparation, and artwork specifications.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new techniques and technology.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Basic math, measurement, and Microsoft Office skills.
