Job summary

Crystal D is seeking a Subsurface Laser Operator to join our Production team in St. Paul, MN. You will operate precision laser equipment, follow work orders, and ensure high-quality crystal awards and gifts.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to work with Vitro software. Training is provided; cross-training and lean practices are encouraged in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Willingness to learn Vitro software and laser equipment.
Ability to follow production procedures and safety rules.
Comfort with physical production tasks and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate subsurface laser equipment to create high-quality crystal awards and gifts.
Learn and utilize Vitro software to operate laser machinery.
Read and follow production work orders and instructions to ensure customer specifications are met.
Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Monitor production schedules and complete orders accurately and on time.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate production records and update order statuses.
Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe using 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Cross-train in other production areas and lend a hand wherever needed.
Share ideas and work with your team to continuously improve quality, efficiency, and processes.

What You'll Do

As a Subsurface Laser Operator, you'll play an important role in creating the high-quality crystal awards our customers know and love. You'll operate specialized laser equipment, ensure product accuracy, and work alongside fellow Memory Makers to keep production running smoothly.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Set up and operate subsurface laser equipment to create high-quality crystal awards and gifts.
Learn and utilize Vitro software to operate laser machinery.
Read and follow production work orders and instructions to ensure customer specifications are met.
Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Handle crystal products carefully to prevent damage.
Monitor production schedules and complete orders accurately and on time.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate production records and update order statuses.
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe using 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Cross-train in other production areas and lend a hand wherever needed.
Share ideas and work with your team to continuously improve quality, efficiency, and processes.

Previous laser operating or manufacturing experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn and a great attitude are just as important!
