Job summary

Colt Manufacturing in Connecticut is seeking a Production Specialist to lead daily operations on the production floor. You will supervise a team of operators and technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while actively managing scheduling and training.

You will troubleshoot equipment, drive process improvements, track attendance and performance, and lead daily shift meetings to communicate goals and key metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates/bachelors in related field a plus.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor production output and quality to meet standards and deadlines.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Train new employees and provide coaching to team members.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalate when needed.
• Lead daily shift meetings and report on key metrics.
