Job summary

HireTalent - Staffing & Recruiting Firm seeks a Production Supervisor to manage small teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing setting. You will ensure safety, training, staffing, and continuous improvement while maintaining morale and productivity.

You will supervise 30–50 workers, monitor lines, address delays, coach staff, and collaborate with quality teams to meet standards and cost targets. This role is on-site and requires walking the floor and climbing stairs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in production supervision in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Goal-oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams.
• Ability to coach/mentor/develop team members.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - specifically Excel.
• Ability to spend extended periods on the production floor, including walking throughout the facility and climbing stairs as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise about 30-50 production employees and ensure everyone is performing their duties correctly.
• Monitor production lines to ensure targets are met.
• Resolve issues when machines, automation, or processes cause delays.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Handle employee scheduling, staffing, and attendance issues.
• Work with quality teams to ensure products meet standards.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Spend much of the shift walking the production floor, monitoring operations, and responding to issues in real time.
