CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in Iowa. You will manage resources, drive efficiency, ensure safety, and mentor employees to achieve production goals.

This role emphasizes coaching, problem solving, and sustaining high-quality output in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of leadership experience in a foundry environment preferred.
• Prior experience as lead person, leadership trainee, supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate daily production and maintenance activities to meet operational goals and customer needs.
• Communicate with foremen and team members to determine priorities and align resources.
• Create team assignments and communicate expectations for efficient workflow.
• Monitor production schedules, resources, and workforce capacity; adjust as needed.
• Maintain adequate levels of production and maintenance supplies to support daily ops.
• Track department performance and implement corrective actions.
• Lead daily start-up meetings and maintain open communication.
• Work on the production floor to support employees and answer questions.
• Ensure quality standards throughout production processes.
• Train and support new employees on safety, equipment operation, and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with managers to identify improvements and resolve challenges.
• Conduct and document performance reviews and coaching conversations.
• Identify training opportunities to boost performance and engagement.
• Promote safety through training and continuous process improvement.
• Monitor attendance and maintain employee records.
