Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of leadership in a foundry environment preferred.
• Prior experience as lead person, supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production and maintenance activities to meet operational goals.
• Communicate priorities with foremen and teams to align resources effectively.
• Create team assignments and communicate expectations for efficient workflow.
• Monitor production schedules, resource availability and capacity; adjust as needed.
• Maintain appropriate levels of non-inventory production and maintenance supplies.
• Track department performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings and maintain ongoing communication throughout shifts.
• Spend time on the production floor to support employees and answer questions.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across all production processes.
• Train and support new employees on safety, equipment operation and duties.
• Collaborate to identify improvements and resolve operational challenges.
• Conduct and document performance reviews and coaching sessions.
• Identify training opportunities to improve performance and engagement.
• Promote workplace safety through training and continuous process improvement.
• Monitor attendance, approve vacation requests, and maintain records.
• Complete required data entry and maintain information in electronic systems.
• Coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities, including inspections.
• Participate in meetings on coaching, safety initiatives, and business strategy.
• Assist with candidate interviews and orientation/onboarding activities.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and experience.
