Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee the Production department, directing, coordinating and evaluating activities in line with policy. The role includes training staff, planning, assigning and directing work, and ensuring quality and safety across the line.

The position emphasizes supervision experience, adherence to schedules, problem solving, and coordinating with other supervisors to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of Manufacturing Experience.
• Two or more years of supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production activities to ensure products meet requirements.
• Determine manufacturing priorities based on production schedules.
• Interpret specifications and judge acceptability of in-process production.
• Implement safety programs to ensure worker safety.
• Assure product quality.
• Assist individuals in problem solving and exercise judgment.
• Direct routine equipment maintenance and setup.
• Coordinate activities with other supervisors in the plant.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions and take action.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Follow production schedules and estimate work hour requirements.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving them.
