Job summary

Harbinger, an American commercial EV company, seeks a highly analytical business student to join the Production Finance team in Garden Grove, CA. This internship requires 4-5 days in-office per week and full-time hours (40 hours) for 8 weeks (quarter) or 15 weeks (semester).

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related field; an MBA or related Masters is highly preferred.
• Work authorized in the United States or ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa.
• Strong interest in manufacturing, operations, and data-driven problem solving.
• Comfortable with data utilizing Google Sheets or Excel; Python knowledge is highly desirable.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain data simply.
• Self-starter able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Production Finance Reporting and Analytics for Manufacturing, Quality, Material Planning, and Logistics.
• Build and maintain production-focused financial models for labor, costs, inventory, and logistics.
• Develop standardized tracking tools to improve monthly close, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Document and improve reporting processes including actuals vs forecast, headcount, and capex.
• Assist with dashboards and KPI creation for faster, informed production decisions.
• Support automation and data reconciliation between operational data and financial reporting.
