Job summary

US Foods in Florida is seeking a facility/equipment mechanic for 1st shift. You will perform repairs on forklifts, reach trucks and electric pallet jacks to keep all production lines running smoothly.

Responsibilities include reviewing repair reports, documenting actions, and conducting preventive maintenance with proper logkeeping. Safety is emphasized through Lock Out/Tag Out and related procedures.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Additional mechanic training or a trade school degree is preferred.
• Six months of mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation.
• Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on production/facility equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks).
• Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log per USF policy.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and maintain PM log with proper documentation.
• Comply with safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, documentation).
• Maintain and secure battery-charging area and tools.
