US Foods in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair production and facility equipment on a 1st shift. The role involves preventive maintenance, equipment logs, and adherence to safety protocols.

The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits starting day one. Responsibilities include repairing forklifts and pallet jacks, documenting actions, and coordinating with management on tool and part needs.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; trade school/mechanic training preferred.
• At least six months of mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation.
• Ability to repair and overhaul warehouse and production equipment.
• Welding ability.
• Basic math skills; able to read/write.
• Able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production/facility equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks.
• Review equipment reports, log actions/repairs per USF policy.
• Complete documentation for equipment activities and PMs.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and maintain PM logs.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, etc.).
• Maintain battery charging area, batteries, and related equipment.
• Manage tools, replacement parts, and inventory; store securely.
• If authorized, purchase tools from local vendors.
