Job summary

Snelling Staffing DFW seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot and improve production equipment in a rubber molding environment. You will handle preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, basic computing for maintenance records, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Overtime and shift start at 5am-5:30pm on Mon-Thu are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, trade certification, or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
• 2–3 years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in rubber molding, plastics, or similar manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance records and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rubber molding presses, mixers, mills, ovens, trimming equipment, conveyors, compressors, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and perform timely repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with automation-related issues when needed.
• Repair or replace motors, pumps, valves, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, cylinders, and other machine components.
• Install and commission new production equipment and assist with equipment relocations.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and document repairs, parts used, and equipment downtime.
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and recommend replacement parts as needed.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, machine guarding requirements, and company safety policies.
• Respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Assist production personnel in troubleshooting equipment operating issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
