Job summary

1440 Foods Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our first shift to perform preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot complex problems in a fast-paced food production environment.

In this role you will maintain conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging, and refrigeration systems; diagnose electrical/hydraulic issues; and document all work while adhering to OSHA, FDA, and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (food production preferred).
• Experience with CMMS for preventive maintenance, work orders, and spare parts tracking.
• Food-grade materials and equipment experience; knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment in food/beverage production.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Repair/replace defective parts using hand and power tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and maintained per food safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production and QA to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment per specs and safety guidelines.
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and outcomes in logs and records.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in electro-mechanical maintenance.
