Job summary

Olin seeks an Engineering Technician – Production in Independence, MO to set up, operate, and maintain high-speed production machinery while supporting engineering and process improvements. You will ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and safe operation in a high-volume environment.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with automated equipment, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred.
• 3 years’ hands-on mechanical experience; automated machinery/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) preferred.
• Strong sense of accountability with ability to take ownership of machine performance, product quality, and adherence to safety and production standards.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machines to meet production requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Support engineers with process improvements, tooling adjustments, and data collection.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety procedures.
