Job summary

Olin is seeking an Operations Technician in Manitowoc, WI to work hands-on with trimming and turning equipment, ensuring precision and quality for products used daily. You will operate lathes, inspect brass casings with calipers and micrometers, and use PLEX software while following strict safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong mechanical, mathematical, reading comprehension, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Detail-oriented with high quality and accuracy.
Demonstrated safe work practices, ability to work independently and within a team, and strong communication skills.
Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operating lathes type equipment and following checklists, procedures, and guidelines to production flow to meet customer specifications.
Inspect brass casings for cosmetic and functional defects using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers) for quality monitoring.
Utilizing PLEX production software effectively.
Performing mechanical adjustments, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Adheres to all safety requirements, including cleaning the work area, lockout/tagout, and wearing required PPE.
