Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates program timelines, risk registers, and status-tracking logs across concurrent NMD programs.
  • Schedules, documents, and distributes minutes and action items for program meetings, including kickoffs and design reviews.
  • Maintains CRF logs, Bill of Materials data entry, and tooling/equipment development tracking.
  • Compiles Product Approval and PSW packages and monitors approval status.
  • Coordinates NM EPO fulfillment and trial build logistics, including inventory and production readiness.
  • Tracks launch readiness checklists, safe-launch monitoring, and countermeasure logs through production launch.
  • Maintains sub-supplier and tooling status logs and follows up with cross‑functional teams.
  • Prepares customer-facing status reports and tracking documentation.
  • Tracks and archives program documentation and compiles closeout summaries and scorecards.

Production Engineering Associate - New Model Development 1st Shift
Job Summary

This position supports the New Model Program Lead (LPL) and cross‑functional project leads by managing the recurring administrative, coordination, and tracking activities across New Model Development (NMD) programs, enabling the program team to sustain higher concurrent program loads without sacrificing launch readiness, documentation discipline, or customer commitments.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains and updates program timelines, risk registers, and status‑tracking logs across concurrent NMD programs.
  • Schedules, documents, and distributes minutes and action items for program meetings, including kickoffs, design reviews, P‑Evaluations, and New Model Reviews (NMR).
  • Maintains CRF logs, Bill of Materials data entry, and tooling/equipment development tracking.
  • Compiles and tracks Product Approval and PSW packages (dimensional reports, capability studies, PV/PQCT/PACV documentation, etc.) and monitors approval status.
  • Coordinates NM EPO fulfillment and trial build logistics, including inventory tracking, production readiness, packaging, and delivery coordination.
  • Tracks launch readiness checklists, safe‑launch monitoring, and countermeasure logs through production launch.
  • Maintains sub‑supplier and tooling status logs, following up with cross‑functional teams on outstanding items.
  • Prepares customer‑facing status reports, tracking documentation.
  • Tracks and archives program documentation and compiles closeout summaries and scorecard reporting.
Other Functions
  • Maintains an organized, professional work environment across office and shop‑floor settings.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with cross‑functional teams and customer contacts.
  • Maintains professional knowledge by attending relevant training and reviewing applicable industry and quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP).
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Minimum Requirements

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, engineering technology, or a related field preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.

Experience: Prior experience in an administrative, coordination, or program‑support role preferred; automotive or manufacturing environment experience a plus.

Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and task management systems (e.g., Teams, Planner, Notion, Smartsheet); ability to read basic engineering drawings; strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a cross‑functional team environment.

Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate‑controlled office and occasionally on the shop floor, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
