Job summary

Yamad in the United States (South Charleston, OH) seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator to assist the QA Manager, coordinating department activities including document control, new model activity and special projects.

The role oversees planning for New Model Activity, IATF scheduling, and the development of QMS procedures. You will generate quality reports, supervise QA staff, and support process improvements and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial or process engineering, manufacturing technology, management or related field or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• 5-7 years’ experience managing a diverse workforce in mass production/manufacturing, non-union environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of machining and assembly processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate New Model Activity through planning and implementation, including document development and reviews.
• Schedule and plan annual IATF activities; coordinate with auditors.
• Create and maintain quality management system procedures per customer requirements and IATF.
• Develop daily, monthly and quarterly quality reports.
• Supervise and train QA department staff.
• Assist QA Manager with assigned projects.

Job Summary

This position will assist the Quality Assurance Manager by coordinating Quality Assurance department activities including, but not limited to document control, new model activity and special projects as required.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates the New Model Activity through planning and implementation, including but not limited to customer document development, internal document development, and preparing presentations for new model review meetings.
• Responsible for scheduling and planning annual IATF. Coordinate with auditors on scheduling meetings and materials.
• Create and maintain quality management system procedures per customer requirements and IATF standards.
• Develop daily, monthly and quarterly quality reports including but not limited to index points and HQ awards.
• Supervises work of and trains other members of the QA department.
• Assists QA Manager with projects as assigned.

Other Functions

• Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
• Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial or Process Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Management or related field or equivalent combination of education & experience is preferred but not required.

Experience: This position requires 5-7 years’ experience managing a diverse workforce in a mass production, manufacturing environment. Experience in a non-union environment is strongly preferred.

Skills: This position requires a high level of understanding of machining and assembly processes and equipment, interpersonal skills including issue management, motivation, supervision, coaching and counseling, strategic financial planning, and ability to project and track budget expenses.

Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift to 20 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
