Job summary

Marotta Controls, a New Jersey-based leader in aerospace and defense control systems, seeks a Production Engineer to manage and improve production lines. You will develop methods, test equipment, and processes ensuring capacity meets demand, while driving yield improvements and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of related experience in a production/operations environment.
• 2-5 years’ experience in design and manufacturing of valves, piping and related fluid and/or auxiliary equipment.
• Knowledgeable of high-pressure fluids, clean rooms, and electronic test equipment.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills for multi-faceted interactions with all levels.
• Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and ability to operate relevant systems.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design new systems and processes for new or improved products.
• Develop and maintain testing policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Investigate, assess and resolve production issues effectively.
• Implement improvements to current operations to increase efficiency.
• Communicate with suppliers to procure equipment.
• Assemble and test production hardware.
• Analyze equipment layout and workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Document manufacturing methods and tooling.
• Define and monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives.
