Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ, seeks a Production Engineer to lead the technical management and development of production lines, designing processes, test equipment, and procedures to meet demand with high yield.

Implement lean initiatives, collaborate with suppliers, and document manufacturing methods. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2+ years in production, with experience in valves, piping, fluids, and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in production/operations environment.
• 2+ years’ experience in design and manufacturing of valves, piping and related fluid/auxiliary equipment.
• Knowledgeable of high-pressure fluids, clean rooms, and electronic test equipment.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as outside agents.
• Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Design new systems and processes for introducing new products or improving existing products.
• Develop and maintain testing policies, procedures, and performance metrics to meet manufacturing objectives.
• Investigate, assess and resolve production issues effectively.
• Implement improvements to current operations to improve efficiency.
• Communicate with suppliers to procure necessary equipment.
• Assemble and test production hardware.
• Analyze layout of equipment, workflow, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Contribute to the ability of the Operations function to meet design requirements using manufacturing tools and equipment.
