Job summary

Rocket Lab is hiring a Production Engineer I at our Albuquerque, NM site to drive process improvements, yield, and day-to-day sustaining work in solar cell and silicon-based production. You will own Photolithography modules, coordinate with operations and R&D, and help scale manufacturing for future space missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • Experience with Photolithography processing and metrology is desirable.
  • Strong data-driven mindset and ownership across manufacturing areas.
  • Knowledge of wafer fab (III-V and/or Si) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SPC, 8D, FMEA and RCCA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support sustaining activities to maximize yield and productivity of fab operation across work centers in the litho area.
  • Work with Operations/Equipment Maintenance/Process Technician/R&D Teams to maximize project success.
  • Own Photolithography process modules: responding to defect issues, writing clear work instructions, oversee operator training.
  • Plan and perform experiments to improve safety/yield/reliability/throughput.
  • Scoping and procurement of new equipment and process approaches for new products and manufacturing expansion.
