Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Production Engineer I at our Albuquerque, NM site to own Photolithography process modules and drive yield and productivity improvements across lithography operations. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and R&D to solve issues, implement process improvements, and support new product introductions in a fast-paced space-manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Experience with Photolithography processing modules, including metal lift-off and photochemical interactions.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods with a working knowledge of JMP and SQL.
• Familiarity with quality/manufacturing methods such as SPC, OCAP, 8D problem solving techniques, FMEA, RCCA.

Responsibilities

• Support sustaining activities to maximize yield and productivity of fab operation across work centers in the litho area.
• Collaborate with Operations, Equipment Maintenance, Process Technician, and R&D teams to maximize project success.
• Own Photolithography process modules: respond to defect issues, write clear work instructions, supervise operator training.
• Plan and perform experiments to improve safety, yield, reliability, and throughput; assist R&D for new products or experiments.
• Scope and procure new equipment and process approaches for new products and manufacturing expansion.
