The primary role of this position is to oversee book editorial andproduction tasks, including collaborating with authors and managingfreelancers and vendors who edit and produce print and electronicbooks within budget, with the highest quality, and at the bestpossible speed. Responsibilities for this role begin after theacquisition team has signed contracts with authors, receivedcomplete manuscript drafts, and transmitted them betweenacquisitions and production. The role then oversees all subsequenttasks, including copyediting, proofreading, and final bookmanufacture. This position reports to the Director. In noparticular order, duties include:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparableknowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Bachelor's Degree, Proficiency in Adobe Indesign
Salary Range: $17.40 - $30.30 per hour
