Job summary

Alyssa Kristin is looking for a part-time Production Development & Technical Design Consultant based in New York City. This role involves direct collaboration with the founder to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities and build production infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have over 5 years of experience in luxury apparel or bridal and a strong background in technical design. You will create technical documentation, review production garments, and communicate closely with factories.

The position offers flexible work arrangements and an immediate start is preferred.

Production Development & Technical Design Consultant

Part-Time / Contract | NYC Preferred

Alyssa Kristin is seeking an experienced Production Development & Technical Design Consultant to support expansion of domestic manufacturing capacity and help build the next stage of our production infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role working directly with founder and designer Alyssa Kristin as we scale production, onboard manufacturing partners, and transition styles into repeatable, high-quality production.

The ideal candidate has experience in luxury apparel, bridal, couture, or designer RTW and is equally comfortable reviewing garments, communicating with factories, building technical documentation, and solving production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation and production specifications
• Review TOPs and production garments against approved samples and fit standards
• Communicate fit, construction, and quality comments to factory partners
• Visit factories and sample rooms as needed
• Support onboarding and development of domestic production partners
• Assist with quality control and production troubleshooting
• Help establish repeatable production standards and processes
• Partner directly with founder on production development initiatives

Ideal Experience

• 5+ years in bridal, luxury apparel, couture, or designer RTW
• Technical design and fit experience
• Experience working directly with factories and sample rooms
• Knowledge of production development and pre-production processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills with keen eye for detail
• NYC-based preferred
